“No Martha For Christmas”

“No Martha For Christmas”

Luke 10:41-42 “‘Martha, Martha,’ the Lord answered, ‘you are worried and upset about many things, but only one thing is needed.  Mary has chosen what is better and it will not be taken away from her.’” (NIV)

Martha had a wonderful opportunity to be in the very presence of the Lord Jesus, yet she let her meal preparation for Him take away from the opportunity to be with Him.

Christmas is an opportunity similar to Martha’s experience to be with Jesus.  Christmas is a time when you can not only recognize God’s great outpouring of love through the birth of Jesus, but also experience more of God’s presence, work, and love.

Christmas provides a great opportunity to focus on your relationship with God.  Unfortunately most of us miss this opportunity by allowing Christmas activities to distract us from God.

Make this Christmas season a time for you to draw closer to God.  Reflect on and experience God’s great love for you.  Do not miss this opportunity of experiencing more of Jesus’ presence and love in your life.

Be faithful in cultivating your relationship with Jesus so that His new birth in you might be illuminated to the world this Christmas season!

2 Corinthians 2:15 says, “For we are to God the aroma of Christ among those who are being saved and those who are perishing.”

Philippians 2:6-7 “Who, being in very nature God, did not consider equality with God something to be grasped, but made Himself nothing, taking the very nature of a servant, being made in human likeness.”  (NIV)
